The Sphere Agency and Nando’s Australia have today announced they will be parting ways following a solid number of years working together.
The Sphere Agency has been associated with Nando’s advertising for the last eight years, the first six looking after the below-the-line and local area marketing for the brand, and the last two years encompassing the full spectrum of the brand’s communications when the above-the-line, experiential, media and digital areas were all consolidated under the one roof with Sphere.
“The decision to part ways was mutual and respectful. There’s absolutely no doubt that we have enjoyed working together,” said Norman Picker, Managing Director of Nando’s Australia. “We strongly acknowledge Sphere’s commitment to continually strive to deliver on our objectives year after year. Sphere showcased their agility through a consistent stream of topical and tactical executions for us such as the Bruno Premiere stunt, and on other subjects encompassing everyone from Dr Phil to Julia Gillard.”
“Sphere also created numerous stand out campaigns including a number of music and events initiatives,” added Norman, “allowing the agency to demonstrate some of its unique strengths.”
Michael Abdul, Managing Director of The Sphere Agency said, “We’ve truly enjoyed working on the account over the years and thank Nando’s for the opportunity to allow us to do some great work, but we both acknowledge the time’s right for change.”
