I recently read an article someone shared with me called “The best job in the world”, which actually manages to describe, in exact detail, the ever varying role of an Advertising Agency Client Service person, AKA ‘a Suit’.
Having been a ‘Suit’ for nearly 8 years myself, I couldn’t agree more with the article when it states that it is a job you will never be bored in. Every day poses new challenges and opportunities, you will often make mistakes (which can usually be fixed with some quick thinking) but from that, you are constantly learning.
You will come up against many characters and behaviours, questions and objections, adversities and diversities and wins and losses. There will be long nights and demanding clients but seeing a campaign as it comes to life and its subsequent success, winning awards and not to mention all the social activities and great people you’ll meet along the way, makes it all worthwhile.
I will be using this article as the formal job description for any new additions to my team going forward
